What Makes Noni So Vital To The Human Body?
In 1953, Dr. Ralph Heinicke, a leading biochemist who worked for the Pineapple Research Institution in Hawaii, was introduced to an interesting ingredient found in pineapple stems. orking for the Dole Company and for the Pineapple Research Institute, Dr. Heinicke extracted and studied a crude Bromelain mixture that originated in the stem of the pineapple. Bromelain was thought to have a positive effect on the body malfunctions, and Dr. Heinicke sought to find the active ingredient.
After extensive research, Dr. Heinicke found that the active ingredient in this crude mixture was actually an enzyme he later named Proxeronine. But by 1977, Proxeronine from Hawaiian pineapples had lost 97% of its effectiveness due to soil depletion. As he continued his research, Dr. Heinicke discovered that the noni fruit was an ever richer source of Proxeronine than the pineapples.
Morinda citrifolia fruit contains a compound known as proxeronine. When consumed, proxeronine combines with an enzyme called proxeroninase in the intestine and the result is xeronine. When proteins combine with xeronine, the combination becomes a powerful tool that produces energy and sends chemical signals between cells for proper and healthy cell function and maintenance.
